Christoph Wimmer-Ruelland is an Austrian-Canadian designer and artist living in Vienna (AT) and Eindhoven (NL). The decoupling of objects from their usual context is one of the central aspects of his work. His focus is not only on creating new products and objects but primarily on re-evaluating existing conventions and their response to changing societal and industrial influences.

The Stadium Stool – originally designed for the exhibition "L’orage est parti" – was part of a set consisting of a bench, a bar, and several stools, which has been an integral part of the fjk3 furnishings since autumn 2021. The objects reference structural elements of amateur and street football culture, drawing inspiration from the grid design of football cages and translating it into furniture. UV-resistant cable ties hold the individual components of these indoor furnitures together.
