"Words like swords, words like razor blades. Precise as if they are tailor made." With words as weapons, KDM Königin der Macht is taking the battle to the patriarchy. The glamorous queen from the underground raps against the violent ‘cis-tem’ and, from the stage, proclaims her resistance. Once a queer-feminist outsider, KDM has long ceased to comment from off-stage, preferring now to stick the knife in where it hurts and steal the show from all the doubters.

Myassa Kraitt is a performer, rapper, dramaturge, poet, social anthropologist and trainer. Currently she is a board member of WIENWOCHE- Festival for Arts and Activism in Vienna. Her artistic interests and work focus on direct and indirect forms of violence, epistemic violence, alterity, necropolitics, the invasion and post-invasion of Iraq, as well as anti-discrimiatory artistic practices. In her multidisciplinary performative rap project called KDM Queen of Power she combines the genres rap, performance and opens queer-feminist and decolonial discourses and lectures on stage.
A joint project with the Wiener Festwochen as part of the exhibition "Liesl Raff – Liaison".
