Exhibition architecture plays a special role in Hermann Czech's work. In 1984, he created the spatial concept for the exhibition "von hier aus" in Düsseldorf, curated by Kaspar König. This was followed by his designs for "Wien 1938" (Vienna City Hall, 1988), "Wunderblock" (Wiener Festwochen, 1989), "Schubert97" (Historisches Museum Wien, 1997) and "Die Kunst, als Mensch menschlich zu leben" (Historisches Museum Wien, 2001).
In 1996, Hermann Czech was responsible for the design of the national contributions to the XIX Triennale in Milan. In 2015, he designed the setting for "Der Wiener Kreis. Exaktes Denken am Rand des Untergangs" (University of Vienna), and in 2016 for "Julius Koller - One Man Anti-Show" at the mumok - Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien. The exhibition was curated by Kathrin Rhomberg and Georg Schöllhammer, among others. In 2015/16, together with Sebastian Hackenschmidt, he conceived and curated the show "Josef Frank: Against Design" at the MAK - Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna. 2017 - 2020 he redesigned the Sigmund Freud Museum with Walter Agonese and ARTEC Architects - Bettina Götz and Richard Manahl.
